Don’t know what building is, but I liked the blue effect over the yellow of the lights, I was just leavin from a Starbucks in “Callao Madrid” :)

Just another Madrid building in “Plaza del Sol” surrounds. I’ve used for all my outdoor pics during the day the AWB in Shadow mode, I like the orange look it gives to the photos.

This one was right outside the building of the formation, also near a Starbucks :D… I like the way the Spanish constructors combine those small brown bricks with the normal painted building.

This is not actually a urban building, but I liked, its near the Arts Garden in Madrid, it is just a huge piece of stone hanging from a bridge, I thought of taking a photo from under, but nahhhh, maybe another time ;)…

As you can see all my photos for this weeks assignment were taken in Madrid, I was there on work, so what a underfull theme, thanks Pedro. I didn’t had the time to read much about urban architecture photography, but it turn out ok, didn’t ?…

On to the next assignment….

One Response to “Urban Architecture (exteriors) - Joao Rechena”

  1. My comments:

    1. It could be a good shot but I find it to be missing sharpness, symmetry and the top of the building :-)

    2. A good night shot but again I don’t like the perspective… maybe taking just a few details of the building or a closer shot could have worked better;

    3. A good shot that could use a crop to get rid of the distracting trees and keep the block of identical windows only and the typical orange color of the spanish buildings;

    4. A nice and simple shot of a not so nice looking building;

    5. As you say, it is a nice shot of an interesting piece of art; just not in the theme but that’s alright….

    good job João!
