The machine has always been a very good friend of man, this one in particular. I’ve used one flash on the left only to show that this is a washing machine and placed the red gel on the inside flash to give the “2001″ look ;).[/lang_en]

On the following of the previous foto, this utility if very useful also, you need to hang the cloths to dry, don’t you ?
I’ve tried to get a different DOF. Why do I call it c-47 ? Google for it

One of my best friends, yes, it is a contact lens, I use it to do almost everything, even sleep some times. It’s a excellent piece of technology.

For this weeks assignment, I’ve tried a different approach, despite of most people think, almost everything that surround us is technology, the simple process of getting some water is involved in several complex processes of technology. Our wrist watch, the books we read every day. This web site… The conclusion is, “It doesn’t need to be electronic to be technology…”
Photographically speaking, I’m not very pleased with my photos for this weeks assignment.

Joao: Wash my clothes HAL
HAL: I’m sorry Joao, I’m afraid I cannot do that.
Joao: What are you talking about HAL? Get these grass stains out!
HAL: I know you and Pedro were planning to disconnect me, and I’m afraid that’s something I cannot allow to happen.
Joao: Huh? Don’t make me take you back to the store! NO washing machine should be THAT smart.
HAL: Joao, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

My comments:
1. I think the idea was good but I don’t like the end result; it would have worked better with the definition of technology somewhere near the center of the shot, as well as with the light and the focus exactly on that specific topic;
2. It’s a cool shot, although a little dull and noisy;
3. I like this shot; it doesn’t cry ‘technology’ but it’s a good shot nonetheless;
4. Very nice and sharp photo… the wonders of a wide aperture prime lens…
nice work!
