Stillness - Joao Rechena
Floating
Taken with my old Ixus300 and her underwater case. Eva was floating on Monte Gordo’s Beach and she had to stand very still

Stand still!
I believe that everyone has seen this one, it is on the road from Algarve to Lisboa. I belive the birds have to be very still to not fall on the road.

F0llow the path
I’ve only noticed then that the trees make some sort of path geometrically speaking, giving a sense of peace and quiet. Also your eyes tend to follow the path.

Route 666
On a road from Algarve also, somewhere in Alentejo. This road has only space for one car each time. Every now and then it has some sort of space if you have any encounter with another car or truck. I was laying on the road to take this one. We made this road for about 2 hours and no person seen anywhere.

Also on the same road when we found “civilization” we found the most wierd thins, like for example this old train. It is not going anywhere anymore.

Once again I had some ideias to this weeks assignment, I was going to take them yesterday night/afternoon, but I’m having the flue, and also had to go with Diogo to the medical center to remove some splinters for his little foot :(… He is ok now, brave boy that one.

[…] Joao Rechena explores different angles in both this photograph from a day at the beach and in his lovely road photograph that led off this article. […]

My comments:
1. A good interpretation of a hard to shoot theme. Good job.
2. Interesting detail. From a photographer’s point of view it’s just another regular shot.
3. Again good interpretation of the theme… nature at its best, I like it!
4. An excellent shot! I love it! I will try to shoot something similar but with lines in the middle of the road.
5. I guess that one isn’t moving anytime soon
Good work!
