Reflections - Joao Rechena
Never ending elevator
For this one I have to tanks Nuno, because I had taken one like this one 2 weeks after I bought my 400D and now I’ve done it again. It’s fun to see the evolution, or not ;)…

Double parking
Wierd photo, was taken from a 14th floor with my head on the outside of a window. Pure optical ilusion, the reflection of the parked cars on the level 0 reflects on the window of the 14th floor like if it was on the top of the cars.

Ball
I was drinking my black coffee when thought of this one, used a little PS to enhance the reflected ball, yah, I know, my PS skills are bad, but I’m working on that. Taken in my loyal home made studio with on 100W lamp right above.

Which one is real?
Taken on my bathroom it’s the towel hanger. I’ve converted to b&w cause I like to see the metal on B&W.

I’m watching you
This one was taken saturday on a car shoot of a friend, we where driving about 40kms/h when we took this one, Katy was driving the car where I was. Worked it on PS to blur the background and to lighten the face of my friend.

This week I had some ideas and most all of them where achieved. I wanted to try and shoot reflections on water, on objects, but the time…always the time excuse I know :P.
I believe that my photographer’s block has gone. But I’ve also discovered that I really need to learn more PS, muchhhhh more…. Great assignment, on to the next one ;).

Congrats on another assignment completed! My comments follow:
1. Good work! I like the fact that you’re back on your creative mood!
2. Just perfect! Indeed very well thought out and well executed.
3. Good idea and well done shot. I can’t say I love it though but maybe that’s just me.
4. Weird shot, can’t really understand what position you’re photographing from… really hard to tell the reflection from the real thing.
5. Excellent shot! Very sharp, very good! Can you see that the mirror holder kind of continues inside the reflected image! How cool…!
Great work!
