Painting with Light - Pedro Moura Pinheiro
monolith
Canon EOS 5D + Canon EF 85mm f/1.8
LED flashlight
35 seconds - f/13 - ISO 50
Our blue iPod Mini illuminated by a LED flashlight, afterwards it reminded me of a more rounded version of the monolith in Kubrick/Clarke’s 2001: A Space Odissey.

Canon EOS 5D + Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
LED flashlight
1 minute and 52 seconds - f/9.0 - ISO 200
I bought my first pair of Redwing boots back in 1993 when I lived in the US. This is part of my third pair since then, every time I go back to visit my AFS host family I buy a new ones to replace the previous (and very worn) pair. This is an example on how with a single LED flashlight and a long exposure you can emulate a very complex studio lightning setup.

a light breeze
Canon EOS 5D + Canon EF 35mm f/2.0
LED flashlight
41 seconds - f/4.0 - ISO 50
Another example of lighting a scene with just a LED flashlight, this one ended up with a more light painted look.

window into light
Canon EOS 5D + Canon EF 35mm f/2.0
single LED reading lamp
35 seconds - f/10 - ISO 100
In trying to imagine different things that would look nice light painted, I came across the idea of using a mirror. Everything in this scene has been lighted with a small reading LED lamp. I liked the effect of the light trails being only visible in the mirror.

My comments follow:
1. A nice creative shot but I think the main subject is missing: the ipod
2. Great great shot! This is what i call detail, you can see every scratch!
3. Again very good shot. Only thing to improve that I can think of would be a little movement on the blades.
4. Very nice and creative effect, excellent!
nice work Pedro!
