This is just the carved pumpkin that we had for Halloween day, it has a candle inside and I’ve used a small flashlight to enhance the eyes and the mouth.

It’s just a normal paintbrush on a black background and painted the paintbrush with a small flashlight.

Its a normal basketball placed on a black background and used a small flashlight to make the “chalk” effect.

Conclusion: Could have done better, but overall I’m very pleased with the results. Had some huge idea, but a “hardware” problem made it go “down the drain…”

One Response to “Painting with Light - Joao Rechena”

  1. My comments follow:

    1. A nice shot. For me it isn’t quite painted with light but it’s still a good shot.

    2. Very good painting! I love it. Just the right amount of light, very good work!

    3. A little too blue but a nice effect. I think a white or yellow focus light on top of the guy would be perfect… like a spot over his head.

    4. Very creative! 5 stars!

    Nice work João!
