A piece of sky

In a narrow street, besides the Bica Funicular, GPS receivers long for their beloved sattelites, but to no avail. The buildings are tall and close to each other. Even the chimneys have to climb high, in straight lines, to reach their piece of sky. Increased the sky saturation in PS.

Straight Up

The tracks for the Bica tram start with a steep climb, straight up. Change to B&W, increased contrast in PS.

No Perspectives

Above the Alameda fountain, there’s a balcony. The balcony has a nice deep view, but was kindly “decorated” with stupid, lame, “graffittis”. No Perspectives for the authors, at least on a short term….. Selective B&W, tinted for sepia in PS.

I just loved the way the paths joined and split in the sand.

Though the photos were mostly taken in one day, the theme had been on my mind the all week. None of the ideas I had really made it to these final four, but they sure paved the way.
Thank you for letting me participate.

My comments this week:
1. Excellent work: great imagination and well captured sight. I really love it!
2. It is an obvious way of shooting lines but nonetheless it is well shot, good work.
3. Again very imaginative this one…. i don’t like the graffitis because I think they draw the attention from the rest of the shot, namely, from the lines… but that’s not something you could avoid unless you changed your angle of view somehow.
4. Very nice shot.. I think it could work a little better in B&W and with more contrast, so that the ground would be brighter and the different paths would stand out more.
Nice work Nuno!
